Brother Joe makes some good points in this video about our temptations being in many movies. We don't want to watch movies that tempt us with things that we are struggling with.
If I was a person that was quitting cocaine it probably would be a good idea for me to watch Scarface.
At 1st glance it might seem like a prudish thing to say, "Be careful of what movies you watch." but if you really think about it, and get really, earnestly honest with yourself, you have to admit that Hollywood makes movies that are crammed full of sinful content.
The whole Hollywood machine is about idolatry.
Idolatry brings the 7 Deadly Sins: Pride, Greed, Wrath, Lust, Envy, Gluttony, and Slothfulness
That being said do we want to be exposing ourselves to sins of every kind and for some on a daily basis?
I gave up mainstream TV years ago. I will watch a movie every once in a while. The last one I watched was the Temptations. I watched it because I like biographies and music (though I rarely listen to mainstream music anymore). I mainly follow certain people on Youtube and Twitter, and that is where I get my entertainment and news.
I can't enjoy a movie in which I'm sitting there wondering if this star or that star is one of the ones that harm kids.
Knowing the things that I know about Hollywood, it would be best for everyone to boycott them, and quit supporting them.
When it gets out about things that I strongly suspect are happening, NO ONE will want to have anything to do with them. If there is a great awakening coming soon for the masses, no one will be able to enjoy their movies.
At this time, I'm quite pessimistic about any really big names going out. We still haven't heard anything about who the Epstein clients are.
I guess other that speaking out sometimes against the evils of the world, It's all in God's hands.
God could squash Hollywood like a bug.
God's timing is always perfect.
Forgive me for getting off subject. It was my injection of why I don't watch movies in general. It's different than Brother Joe's perspective in the movie, and that's ok. He had some really good advice.
Enjoy the video.
